The Amalfi Coast

Ravello is considered the jewel of the Amalfi Coast. Its position at 365mt above sea level allows it to preserve a quite atmosphere. The charm of the landscape, the value of the monuments and the gardens captured and seduced many European artists who came here looking for inspiration.

Cathedral and Museum

The Cathedral of Ravello, overlooking the main square Piazza Vescovado, is dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta. The chapel, inside the Basilica, preserves the blood relic of Saint Pantaleone, the Patron Saint of Ravello. On July 27th it is possible to observe the liquefaction of his blood.

Villa Rufolo

The beautiful Villa Rufolo enchants visitors with its flower gardens and its magnificent architecture.

It is the place that inspired the famous German composer Richard Wagner. In his Parsifal he, admiring the charming gardens, exclaimed:

“The magic garden of Klingsor has been found here”

Villa Cimbrone

The huge gardens and the amazing view overlooking the sea and the Amalfi Coast make Villa Cimbrone completely unique in the world.

Trekking the Amalfi Coast

An authentic way to discover the Amalfi Coast is through the ancient connecting roads. There are many mule tracks and footpaths through lemon groves and vegetable gardens with landscapes overlooking the sea.
